Mary
Beth Bauer - Founder & CEO
Mary Beth Bauer is a trusted and respected advisor to many of Australia’s
top companies, building on more than 20 years experience in investor
relations, chartered accounting and corporate finance.
She began her career in chartered accounting in the US and
Australia, before becoming Investor Relations Manager at Mayne Nickless
Ltd (1988-91) and Coles Myer Ltd (1992-95). She is currently Chairman
of Talent2 International Ltd.
In 1997 Mary Beth developed the unique VEM Perception Study methodology,
and has since deployed the methodology across a range of products
and services to assist a diverse range of corporate clients in identifying
a profitable way forward. Strategic financial communications, financial
planning and investor relations are her fields of specialty, and
she has applied these skills to critical projects for a range of
companies and institutions.
She has a Business Economics degree from University of California,
is an Australian Chartered Accountant and a USA Certified Public
Accountant.

David Perry
David Perry has worked in the financial and investment markets for
more than 25 years, with a focus on applied analytical research.
He has an extensive understanding of the investment markets, including
economics, equities, fixed interest and derivatives, having held
senior positions in each of these areas of market activity.
Before joining VEM he was for 10 years, a (founding) director and
head of research for the stockbroking/investment group, Austock.
In this position he was responsible for company analysis, economic
analysis and investment strategy.
Prior to this David was Associate Director of the stockbroking/investment
group, ANZ McCaughan, where he was Head of Capital Markets and Futures
Research. David is a frequent lecturer on aspects of the investment
markets. He consults to corporations and public sector organisations
on project analysis and valuation, investor and media relations
strategy, independent expert advice, training and corporate advice.
David holds a B.Comm (Hons) and a Master of Arts Degree (Eco) from
the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services
Institute of Australia, a member of the Australian Institute of
Company Directors, and a member of the Australasian Investor Relations
Association.

Michael Collins
Michael has more than 20 years corporate and financial sector experience, with a core expertise in providing strategic communications advice and execution to organisations operating within the financial services sector. Michael has founded and led two strategic communications consultancies: Grey Financial Communications (1994), sold to Grey Worldwide in 1999, and Wall & Madison (1999). His financial services experience includes working in the financial markets as an analyst, banker and treasury dealer.
His most recent experience includes leading the Corporate and Finance practice of a multinational public relations agency. Prior to this, he headed the stakeholder communication function for Westpac Banking’s technology and operations division.
During his tenure at Westpac he was responsible to the Bank’s group executive for all issues management relating to the bank’s extensive back-office and technology operations change program including outsourcing, offshoring, downsizing, business process and IT system re-engineering. In addition to this he was responsible for all issues management related to fraud and money laundering, electronic crime and physical security.

Jenni
Donaldson
Jenni Donaldson has over 18 years experience in chartered accounting, tax and financial services advice. A former company director, with extensive experience in M&A, Jenni brings valuable skills in business analysis and the development and management of financial systems and processes.
Jenni is an Australian Chartered Accountant and has a B.Comm from the University of Melbourne.

Tina
Campbell - Melbourne Associate
Tina has an extensive and diverse background
in communications and international trade. As co-founder of communications
company Tribal in 1984, Tina spent 20 years working with many of
Australia’s major companies on their internal and external
communication.
In 1995 Tina was appointed Managing Director of Tribal, and
steered the company through significant growth and diversification.
Tribal was acquired by Sausage Software/SMS Management and Technology
in 2000 and Tina joined the SMS M&T executive team.
In 2002 Tina was appointed General Manager of True Grid Flooring
and worked with the management team to establish importing and exporting
opportunities with Malaysia, China and North America.

Larry Cromwell - Melbourne Associate
Larry is a strategy and communications specialist with 20 years
experience in strategic research and advice to corporations and
governments. Larry has held the positions of Head of Information
Flow Studies at TRL – the Telstra Research Laboratories, Director
of the internal communication review for the ATO, and Project Director
for the development of the Health Communication Network.
Educated in the US and Australia, Larry has a PhD in the Anthropology
of Communications from the ANU. He is the originator of Receiver-based
Communications, an advanced methodology for targeting strategic
communications, and is the author of Making Messages Work.
